Our business, at first established as dairy farm raising goats, respects the natural time cycles of the pasture, therefore the products are not always available during the year.

The type of goats raised in our farm are: the Orobica goat, the Verzasca goat and the Comune Alpina goat.
These are rustic breeds suited to the poverty of the pastureland. They prefer bushes and rough and clayey steep meadows. The milking period goes from March to September. The milk, collected with a milking bucket, is immediately processed.
Goats are the first animals to leave the stable as soon as spring starts. They dedicate themselves to slim down hazel, dog rose and yoke-elm bushes in the most sunny ditches.

Just like for goats, the bovine breeds, that we raise on our farm, are chosen according to the environmental conditions.
The Piemontese cow has lean meat and excellent figure. Moreover it can easily adapt to different forms of alimentation. It has ancient origins and it is related to the Pakistani zebu cattle.
The Garonnese cow originates from the mountain area along the Garrona, also known as the Blonde d'Aquitaine. Its figure is more massive than the Piemontese breed. The calves are heavier and their structural growth is faster. Their meat is thin and low in fat.
In spring before being able to pasture, the cattle needs to wait until the grass is a little mature.

On the mountains, seasons and temperature changes strongly influence the production, both in terms of quantity and quality, more than in any other place. It is crucial to pay attention to the climatic conditions, which may quickly compromise the growth of the animals, especially in the case of beef cattle.

The Avelignesi horses can easily adapt to rough pasture so they are let free into frequently rotating grazing enclosures. They are raised on the farm as companion animals. Horses and foals are the last ones to return to the stable after the first significant snowfall. 

During winter, the animals are kept in stables with straw bedding and distributed in different boxes where they can move freely.

The nourishment is the usual: abundant fodder and water, flour or corn grain, oak and barley flakes, supplement of mineral salts.
